Collection: Championship Wrestling From Florida

Championship Wrestling from Florida (CWF) was a prominent and influential professional wrestling promotion that operated primarily out of Tampa, Florida. It played a significant role in the development of professional wrestling in the United States from its inception in the 1940s until its closure in 1987.

CWF was founded in 1949 by promoter and wrestler Cowboy Luttrall. It quickly became a cornerstone of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), a coalition of regional wrestling promotions that dominated the professional wrestling landscape during much of the 20th century.

CWF reached its zenith under the leadership of Eddie Graham (Edward F. Gossett), who took over the promotion in the 1960s. Graham, a former wrestler with a keen business mind, transformed CWF into one of the most respected and successful regional promotions in the country. He emphasized athleticism, storytelling, and compelling characters, which resonated with fans and drew significant crowds.

Championship Wrestling from Florida was more than just a regional wrestling promotion; it was a breeding ground for talent and innovation that left a lasting impact on the world of professional wrestling. Its contributions to the sport, both in terms of the stars it created and the entertainment it provided, ensure that it remains a significant chapter in wrestling history.

Territory Tees, in association with the Gossett family, is proud to present the CWF Collection. Nicole Gossett, the daughter of Mike Graham (Edward Michael Gossett) and granddaughter of Eddie Graham has instructed that proceeds from this collection benefit the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay.
